Today, Aeroshade Inc. occupies a 70,000 square foot office and manufacturing complex, situated on a full city block owned by Aeroshade for future expansion. The company’s young, aggressive management foresees great growth in the future due to energy conservation and the insulating factor of the Basswood used in Aeroshade products.
Aeroshade is a major manufacturer of woven wood shades, draperies and folding/accordion doors, with over 90 years of experience in manufacturing woven wood shades. Made from select North American Basswood, Aeroshade’s woven wood shades are resistant to warping and sagging and provide the highest level of insulation of any shade. Veniflex doors were added to the Aeroshade line of woven wood products in 1950 and have steadily increased in usage by the building industry.
Aeroshade woven wood shades can prevent up to 85% of the sun’s rays from penetrating your windows. The high insulating factor of wood shades means cooler rooms in the summer and minimal heat loss in the winter. The result is greater comfort and energy savings all year long.
The “Aerocrylic” plasticized oil stain finish keeps colors bright, prevents mildew and is easy to clean. Weaving cords are made of tightly braided cotton seine twine, which has a greater resistance to abrasion and stretching than synthetic filament yarns. Sway cords are fastened at the top and bottom to guard against wind damage. Heavy plated steel hardware has nylon rollers for noiseless raising and lowering.
